Job summary

Illumia is seeking a Senior or Staff iOS Engineer to join the AccountsMobile Development team as an engineer on our iOS platform. In this role, you will help set technical direction for the Accounts mobile app, used by millions of students, faculty, and staff to manage their campus accounts across university campuses, while mentoring engineers and raising the bar on engineering quality across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with technical ownership.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI; write clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and network proxies.
• Experience with Git and GitHub collaboration.
• Experience writing automated tests using XCTest and XCUITest.
• Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle and App Store submission.
• Excellent communication and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain the iOS app using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship features end-to-end.
• Perform code and design reviews; uphold team best practices; mentor engineers.
• Work with modern iOS tools and Apple frameworks; evaluate emerging technologies.
• Design and develop large system components with limited supervision.
• Monitor app performance and resolve issues to meet quality standards.
• Drive CI/CD improvements and participate in engineering interviews.
• Stay current with iOS trends and share knowledge.
