Job summary

Yahoo Mail in Ireland is seeking an experienced mobile engineer to own the iOS app development from design to delivery, collaborating with designers, PMs and other engineers.

You will work in a team that ships high-quality features for hundreds of millions of users, participate in code reviews, ensure performance and reliability, and attend on-site Dublin sessions once a week as part of a flexible hybrid model.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Strong OO programming experience: Swift, Objective-C, C++, Java or similar.
• Strong foundation in CS with data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Deep knowledge of iOS mobile app development and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical design and implementation of complex, high-quality features in current and future products.
• Performing code reviews for peers in a collaborative model.
• Tackle and resolve challenging engineering and UX problems within the app.
• Take ownership of the technical delivery of significant features impacting millions of users.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers through reviews, design discussions, and pairing.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements and fixes.
• Write testable, reliable code and deploy to production systems.
• Grow in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews.
• Ensure health, performance, and stability of features you own in a large-scale environment.
• Recommend new approaches and technologies to meet goals.
