Job summary

Apple seeks a senior engineer to shape native macOS, iOS, and iPadOS applications, guiding multi‑year platform architecture and engineering practices. You will mentor engineers, review designs, and lead end‑to‑end features that leverage AI to improve the employee experience across global teams.

You will collaborate with leadership in cross‑functional forums to define how applications feel native, perform, and integrate with internal APIs and core Apple frameworks.

Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI with production apps on Apple platforms.
• Strong understanding of Apple frameworks (Combine, Swift Concurrency, SwiftData, App Intents) and interoperability patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, networking, and data architecture for client apps.
• Proven ability to lead technical design and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of native macOS, iOS, and iPadOS apps in Swift/SwiftUI with a focus on UX.
• Design features that surface AI to improve usability and automate workflows.
• Drive platform interoperability by integrating with system services and internal APIs.
• Own end-to-end features from research through testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Define and uphold engineering standards for codebases, testing, accessibility, and localization.
• Evaluate Apple AI capabilities (Core ML, Foundation Models, MLX) and integrate where appropriate.
• Partner with PMs and stakeholders to identify AI-enabled improvements for employees.
• Mentor engineers in Swift/SwiftUI and experience-driven development via code reviews.
• Influence technical direction and balance UX fidelity, AI capability, and engineering complexity.
• Contribute to hiring by interviewing candidates and calibrating technical quality.
