Job summary

Illumia is seeking a Senior or Staff iOS Engineer to join the eAccounts Mobile Development team. You will set technical direction for the iOS app used by millions of students and staff, while mentoring engineers and raising engineering quality across the team.

You will work with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA, contributing to end‑to‑end feature delivery and system improvements. This hybrid role offers growth and impact across campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/related field.
• 5+ years of professional iOS development.
• Strong knowledge of Swift/SwiftUI and clean code practices.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and testing.
• Ability to lead design reviews and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain the iOS app with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship features end‑to‑end.
• Perform code and design reviews and promote team best practices.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality across the team.
• Stay current with iOS trends and evaluate new Apple technologies.
• Monitor performance and push improvements to CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and ownership of major components.
• Lead or participate in interviews for new engineers.
