Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is expanding its Insurance team in Dublin, inviting experienced professionals to contribute to insurance finance and financial operations for our clients, as well as outsourced support for corporate compliance and monthly processes.

You will handle IFRS and Irish/UK GAAP accounting, manage relationships with senior finance personnel, coach junior team members, and promote our FAAS services to deliver client value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of practical accounting experience, preferably in Insurance.
• Detailed knowledge of financial reporting with auditing or financial statements experience.
• Experience in relationship management, negotiating with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with multinational/shared services desirable.
• Commitment to client service and identifying value opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Irish/UK GAAP and company law.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance assignments for multinationals and centralised statutory accounting.
• Support internal finance teams and financial operations.
• Build understanding of client operations and use it on assignments.
• Provide practical accounting advice to clients.
