Job summary

Vectra AI seeks a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership in the Identity Domain, shaping AI agent and non-human identity security within enterprise systems. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic architecture decisions to deliver secure identity solutions for customers.

You will own end-to-end identity capabilities—from telemetry ingestion and normalization to analytics, detection, and observability—and partner with Security Research and Product Management to

• Extensive experience in distributed systems, architecture, and security problem solving.
• Deep knowledge of identity, authentication, authorization, credentials, tokens, and privileged access.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and raise team effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the Identity lifecycle from telemetry to observability.
• Lead design and code reviews; identify risks and ensure reliability and security.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Security Research to evolve product capabilities.
