Job summary

Vectra AI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Identity Domain to provide technical leadership across identity systems, AI agents, and non-human identities. You will own end-to-end delivery from telemetry ingestion to detections and observability, partnering with cross-functional teams to secure modern identity ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, architecture, coding, and problem solving.
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives beyond your immediate team.
• Deep understanding of identity systems incl. authentication, authorization, credentials and tokens.
• Expertise in AI agents, machine identities and non-human identities.
• Experience deploying secure, scalable cloud services.
• Customer-focused mindset applying tech in real-world use cases.
• Ability to mentor engineers and raise team effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Identity lifecycle capabilities: ingestion, normalisation, analytics, detection, observability.
• Build systems to discover, monitor, and protect human and non-human identities.
• Define models for AI agents, service accounts, workloads, tokens and identities.
• Lead design reviews and manage technical risks for reliability and security.
• Collaborate across Data Platform, Cloud Platform, Data Science, SRE and other teams.
