TLI Group Ltd in County Cork is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to focus on High Voltage Cable Design Engineering. This role involves delivering engineering design for MV and HV systems, ensuring compliance with Irish and international standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in HV cable design and will lead the design processes, interfacing with multiple stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years (Engineer) or 7+ years (Senior Engineer) in HV cable design for MV and HV networks.
• Proven experience delivering Irish MV & HV grid connection projects.
• Familiarity with EirGrid/ESBN design standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable rating studies and develop cable system design.
• Lead route selection and feasibility analysis.
• Ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Prepare planning design packages.

Skills

Strong understanding of HV power systems

Cable rating studies

Proficiency in cable modeling software

Proficiency in CAD/GIS tools

Stakeholder and client-facing communication skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8 or higher)
