Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ireland Limited in Dublin (Hybrid) is seeking a seasoned HSE professional to develop, implement, and monitor health, safety and environment programs across projects within Europe. You’ll conduct audits, investigations, and training while advising on regulatory changes and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires 5–7 years in HSE, a recognized qualification, and strong communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and Irish regulatory knowledge.
• 5–7 years in a dedicated HSE role, preferably in energy/industrial sectors.
• Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH/NCRQ).
• Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience in managing HSE management systems (ISO 45001/ISO 14001).
• Analytical mindset with incident investigation experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies aligned with standards and Irish law.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments for compliance.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and promote best practices across the organization.
• Advise management on HSE performance and regulatory changes.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports to stakeholders and regulators.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, and permits.
• Collaborate with project teams and contractors to integrate HSE in projects.
• Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance and culture.
