Job summary

Beechfield Care Group Limited is recruiting Healthcare Assistants (Senior Position) to guide and mentor fellow HCAs across Mount Hybla Nursing Home and related locations. The role reports to nurse managers and aims to uphold the highest standards of resident care. Salary is €32,691 per annum with 10% Saturday and 20% Sunday premiums, plus overtime.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years care experience.
QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare.
Relevant Healthcare Degree or Qualification.
Mentoring, Training, Supervisory experience in healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Lead, train and mentor new Healthcare Assistants; work with nurse managers and staff nurses to maintain high standards of care.
Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents; safe manual handling and transfers.
Delivery of food to and feeding of residents; bed making and linen changes; incontinence care including catheter bags.
Provide psychological and social support to residents; ensure dignity, comfort, safety and cleanliness.
Adhere to hygiene, health and safety regulations; perform other duties as required.
