Beechfield Care Group in Castleknock, Dublin 15, is seeking a full-time permanent Healthcare Assistant to join Mount Hybla Private Nursing Home and support residents with daily personal care.

The role involves assisting nurses, delivering meals, hygiene, mobility support, dignity and wellbeing, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a long-established nursing home.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant role in a nursing home setting.
• Support and assist residents with personal care and daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents.
• Safe manual handling and transfer of residents within nursing home
• Delivery of food to and feeding of residents
• Return of used trays and dishes to kitchen, leaving rooms neat
• Bed making and linen changes.
• Provide incontinence and toilet care to residents, including catheter bags.
• Assisting trained nurses with provision of psychological and social support as needed
• Maintain dignity, comfort, safety and whereabouts of residents
• Adhere to hygiene, health and safety regulations
• Any Other Duties As Required.

Beechfield Care Group are currently seeking to recruit full time permanent Healthcare Assistant to assume responsibility for the care of residents at Mount Hybla Private Nursing Home, Castleknock, Dublin 15.

About Mount Hybla Private Nursing Home

The original house and lands at Mount Hybla was a Glebe for the Church of Ireland Parish of Castleknock & Mulhuddart. The house, overlooking Farmleigh Estate in the Phoenix Park, was built around 1750 and is a protected architectural structure. A lot has changed within Mount Hybla since then. Attached to this great historical building is a new, purpose-built home-from-home that caters for residents with 66 single and en-suite rooms. The two floors, bedrooms and sitting areas are accessible by spacious stairwells and two lifts, which are located in the centre of the building. With beautiful recreational grounds and activity spaces Mount Hybla creates a warm atmosphere for all residents and their requirements.

About the Role

The Health Care Assistant is a key member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for the care of our resistant's. The HCA helps, support and direct personal care required to maximise the independence and wellbeing of our resistant's including looking after their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.

Role Responsibilities

• Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents.
• Safe manual handling and transfer of residents within nursing home
• Delivery of food to and feeding of residents
• Return of used trays and dishes top kitchen, leaving residents and their rooms neat and tidy
• Bed making and linen changes.
• Provide incontinence and toilet care to residents, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags.
• Assisting trained nurses with provision of psychological and social support as needed
• Continuous vigilance towards dignity, comfort, safety, and whereabouts of residents
• Continuous adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations
• Any Other Duties As Required.
