Global Professional Consultants seeks a Senior Health & Safety Officer for construction projects across the Munster region in Ireland. You will lead H&S implementation on sites, review risk assessments, and mentor teams to uphold safety standards.

The role requires a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and a strong grasp of construction safety legislation. Responsibilities include coordinating toolbox talks, maintaining H&S files, and liaising with clients to drive continuous safety

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of construction health & safety legislation and best practice.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital H&S systems.
• Experience implementing H&S systems in construction environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and related standards (advantageous).
• Strong communication, mentoring, and organisational skills.

Aufgaben

• Ensure subcontractors meet health & safety prequalification requirements prior to commencement.
• Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all site activities.
• Support development and maintenance of Construction Phase Plans, H&S Files, and Project Quality Plans.
• Ensure weekly Toolbox Talks are delivered by site teams.
• Promote and support use of Safe Plans of Action (SPAs) on site.
• Ensure ITPs and Quality Plans are in place and followed.
• Participate in daily site coordination and whiteboard meetings.
• Provide ongoing guidance to site teams to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Mentor and support new team members in H&S practices and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Liaise with client representatives and attend H&S meetings as required.
• Work with site teams to review and improve overall project safety performance.

A leading Irish construction specialist delivering high-quality projects commercial, data centre, pharmaceutical, and technical sectors is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Officer to support projects across the Munster region.

Role & Duties:
