Job summary

GMC Utilities Group is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to support projects across the business from a HSE perspective. The role emphasizes strong safety culture, compliance, reporting, and documentation.

You will contribute to site safety, manage risk, and help drive improvements in safety performance. The successful candidate will be proactive, able to work independently or as part of the HSQE team, and committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Full clean driver’s license is essential.
• A 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety is desirable.
• Experience in civils, drainage or utilities (water & electricity).

Responsibilities

• Provide health and safety training to employees including toolbox talks and inductions.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures and risk assessments.
• Maintain HSE KPIs and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
• Coordinate H&S systems with site management and contractors.
