Job summary

Glantech staffing, in partnership with our client, seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to support project delivery across the business. The role emphasizes training, inspections, reporting, and maintaining safety standards on site.

The candidate should possess a 3rd level Health and Safety qualification and experience in civils, drainage or utilities, with strong communication and risk management skills. A team-focused, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• A 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety is desirable.
• Civils, drainage or utilities (water & electricity) experience.
• Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Time management abilities to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide health and safety training to employees including manual handling, toolbox talks and safety induction.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits.
• Assist in preparation of reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to management.
• Implement the company’s health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, and management systems.
• Maintain Health & Safety KPIs to drive improvement.
• Work as part of the HSQE team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Monitor and enforce the Health & Safety Management System.
• Identify site hazards and address them in site documentation and on site.
• Ensure communication with the H&S Manager and maintain site records.
• Assist in risk assessments and improvements to Safe Systems of Work.
