Job summary

Darwin Hawkins in Dublin - Hybrid is seeking a Senior Group Internal Auditor to lead internal audits across multiple locations. The role focuses on financial controls, risk reviews, and reporting to senior management with clear recommendations for improvements.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years PQE, Big 4/Top 10 training, and strong report writing and project management capabilities to drive continuous improvements within a plc environment.

Qualifications

• Big 4/Top 10 trained Senior Manager or Manager level is preferred.
• 3–5 years PQE in auditing or related finance roles.
• Experience auditing large corporates or plc’s is beneficial.
• Strong report writing and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits across all locations and verify regulatory compliance.
• Perform detailed risk reviews of Group subsidiaries focusing on financial processes and controls.
• Compile detailed reports with recommendations to senior management.
• Utilise analytical skills to identify risks and key testing areas.
• Communicate control weaknesses and propose improvements.

Role and Reporting Lines

Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit the role will entail the following:

• Internal audits of all locations and verifying compliance with internal regulations
• Carry out detailed risk reviews of Group subsidiaries which will focus on financial processes, internal financial controls, and accuracy of management information
• Compiling detailed reports making recommendations to senior management
• Utilise analytical skills to identify risks and key areas of testing.
• Communicate control weaknesses and identify improvements.
