Internal Audit Manager

Job summary

Empowerment is seeking a skilled Internal Audit professional reporting to the Head of Internal Audit to plan and deliver audits across the group with exposure to SMT and Executive.

You will support development of audit strategy, enhance 3LOD framework, and lead audits across financial, technology and operational areas, ensuring high-quality reporting and delivery of the annual audit plan.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with professional accounting or audit qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIA etc.).
• Experience at Manager/Senior Manager level in Top Tier practice or Industry IA.
• Fintech/payments audit experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit of a leading Fintech firm, the ideal candidate will support them in the planning and delivery of a variety of audits across the group, with excellent exposure to the SMT and Executive.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of IA in the development of the audit strategy
• Partner closely with Group in the enhancement of 3LOD strategies
• Lead a variety of audits across financial, technology and operational (among others) producing a high level of reporting
• Partner with the Head of IA in successfully delivering the annual audit plan

Experience

• Undergraduate degree with professional accounting or audit qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIA etc.)
• Very strong Audit Manager/Senior Manager coming from Top Tier practice, or Internal Audit Manager from industry will be considered
• Experience working on fintech/payments audits advantageous but not fundamental
• Superior communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work on own initiative but also to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders
