Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for hospital settings across Ireland. They seek a Gastrointestinal Physiologist – Chief II to join a Dublin hospital, conducting advanced GI physiology investigations and producing comprehensive clinical reports.

The role requires a BSc in Clinical Measurement Science or an MP(M)P qualification, at least 5 years post-qualification GI physiology experience, and the ability to lead and train staff while driving service improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification GI physiology experience.
• Specialised GI physiology training through accredited programmes or relevant practice.
• Eligible qualification recognised by IICMP/HSE.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret GI physiology investigations (HR oesophageal manometry, pH, pH-impedance, breath tests).
• Prepare and maintain GI physiology equipment with focus on safety and patient dignity.
• Collaborate with physicians on assessment and management of motility disorders; obtain informed consent.
• Review results, prepare reports, and maintain confidential patient records.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to service development and audits.
• Support service improvement through audits, quality assurance and adoption of best practices.
• Contribute to GI service innovation and training.
