Job summary

Armont Recruitment partners with a leading global retail organisation in Dublin to recruit a Senior General Ledger Accountant. The role focuses on month-end accounting, reporting, and coordinating statutory activities within a fast-growing finance team.

Ideal candidates are qualified accountants (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 0-2 years’ PQE in a multinational environment or practice-trained seeking an entry to industry. Strong attention to detail and controls will be essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• 0-2 years’ PQE in multinational environment or practice-trained to move into industry
• Strong problem solving and ledger reconciliation skills
• Good understanding of GAAP and IFRS is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage all month end accounting, reporting tasks and trial balance submission
• Support and prepare statutory accounting activities
• Coordinate balance sheet review process
• Develop, maintain and assess internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting systems
• Evaluate current processes and controls; implement improvements
• Ensure financial records comply with IFRS and local requirements
• Act as main liaison between finance and tax teams

Armont have partnered with a leading global retail organisation seeking an ambitious Qualified Accountant to join their expanding finance team based in Dublin. This business has seen rapid growth and has been growing its finance team in line with this expansion.

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will have primary responsibility for month end accounting, both preparation and review, as well as leading a direct finance report with support from management.

This role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with circa 0-2 years’ PQE in a similar multinational environment. Alternatively, you will be a practice trained accountant seeking your first move into industry.

The Role

• Managing all month end accounting, reporting tasks and trial balance submission
• Responsible for supporting and preparation of the statutory accounting activities
• Coordination of the balance sheet review process
• Help to develop, maintain and assess internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting systems
• Evaluate current processes and internal controls; make and implement recommendations for improvement
• Ensure financial records are in compliance with IFRS and local requirements
• Act as main point of contact between finance team and tax team

The Candidate
