Job summary

Citi Dublin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to design, build, and deliver Java-based solutions for a cutting-edge Issuer platform. You will lead by example in an agile team, mentor juniors, and collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to translate complex requirements into robust systems.

You'll work with Spring Boot on the backend, Angular on the frontend, and deploy with CI/CD in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong background in professional software development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Angular or other modern front‑end frameworks
• Deep understanding of object‑oriented design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Proven ability to design and implement complex systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and performant Java‑based applications using Spring Boot, taking ownership of critical components and features.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for the Issuer platform.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to translate complex business requirements into robust and elegant technical solutions.
• Drive the adoption of modern software development best practices, including code reviews, testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proactively identify and address technical challenges, proposing innovative solutions and mitigating potential risks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
