Job summary

Zalando GmbH is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own core features for Boards, Profiles, and Livestreaming. You will architect scalable backend services and craft performant, responsive web interfaces for Boards, with a strong customer-first mindset guiding technical design.

You will partner with Product, UX, and Applied Science teams to translate insights into impactful engineering decisions, and mentor junior engineers while upholding high standards for observability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with React and GraphQL in production apps.
• Strong background in building backend microservices and APIs.
• Experience with DynamoDB or similar databases.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: own features from concept to production.
• Drive Boards Engineering: scale web/mobile features within microservices.
• Collaborate & Influence: communicate with teams and stakeholders.
• Product Collaboration & Experimentation: work with PMs/UX on roadmaps and A/B tests.
• Promote Tech Excellence: improve CI/CD, testing, performance.
