Job summary

Google is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge frontier AI products and production-grade reality within customer environments in Ireland. You will move beyond architecture to code, debug, and ship bespoke agentic solutions as part of a high-agency team.

As part of Google Cloud Consulting, you will embed with accounts to drive white-glove deployment, address integration and data readiness blockers, and influence product roadmaps with field insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development using Python or similar languages.
• Experience building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and RAG-like architectures.
• Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows.
• Architect and code the connective tissue between Google's AI products and customer's live infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and friction points, turning them into reusable modules or feature requests for engineering teams.
• Co-build with pre-sales and product teams to ensure long-term project success and user adoption.
