Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a GenAI Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE). You will be an embedded builder bridging frontier AI products with production-grade reality within customers, coding, debugging, and jointly shipping bespoke agentic solutions in the customer environment.

The role is for high-agency engineers with a founder’s mindset, addressing blockers to production and transforming real-world field insights into Google Cloud’s future product roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in cloud computing or a technical customer-facing role.
• Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch and architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).
• Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data using both vector databases and RAG-like architectures to power enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows that drive ROI.
• Architect and code the connective tissue between Google’s AI products and customer's live infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure agentic systems meet requirements.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and friction points and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to instill Google-grade development practices.
