Fingal County Council is seeking a Financial Management Accountant to join the Finance Department, reporting to the Director of Finance. The role focuses on developing and operating management reporting systems, budgeting, and financial statements, with responsibility for treasury management and policy implementation.

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Ability to develop and manage management reporting systems.
• Experience in budgeting, revenue/capital budgets, and statutory financial statements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the Annual Financial Statements.
• Compile statutory Local Authority Budget and Capital Plan.
• Prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Liaise with auditors, Department of Housing and Local Government, and funding bodies.
• Develop and manage staff in the Finance function.
• Maintain sound governance and employee relations in line with public sector requirements.
• Deputise for the Director of Finance as required.
• Drive new initiatives and reporting standards within the department.
