Job summary

Northern Trust in Limerick is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance Team on a permanent basis. You will handle monthly and quarterly reports, advise on capital and liquidity reporting, and partner with multiple finance groups across Europe, the UK and the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with several years in multi-currency financial services.
• Experience in regulatory and statutory reporting within a large organisation.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines by multi-tasking and prioritising deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading or championing corporate initiatives.
• Attention to detail and solid documentation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly reporting for multiple entities and compute figures.
• Assess impact of changes, expansions, or new territories on reporting.
• Serve as a key contact with internal and external stakeholders to communicate results.
• Prepare reconciliations and ensure documentation aligns with policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in day-to-day work.
• Perform analyses to assess financial strategies effects on position and results.
• Research and resolve complex accounting transactions and policy interpretations.
• Collaborate with Finance teams and other locations on cross-functional projects.
• Develop knowledge of regulatory reporting tools and configurations.
