Job summary

CPL in Dublin seeks a Senior Financial Accountant to join an international financial services environment. You will manage statutory accounts, forecasts and budget, and support regulatory reporting while engaging with global stakeholders.

You will lead month-end processes, deliver insightful management information and contribute to process improvements, with a focus on treasury, controls and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in accounting or related discipline.
• Recognised professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA) or equivalent.
• Minimum five years’ post-qualification experience in financial control or management accounting.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; Power BI is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP and corporate tax returns is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts with auditors and tax advisers.
• Shape quarterly income forecasts and the annual income budget.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close; analyse and explain movements.
• Deliver monthly management information on aged debtors, asset values and client income.
• Prepare detailed accounts, statistics and variance commentary for Group Head Office.
• Create high-quality monthly management packs and quarterly Board papers to support decisions.
• Coordinate regulatory returns (RS2, RV2, RC2, CRS2, SQ2, MTS and FinRep).
• Support bi-monthly VAT returns and annual corporate tax returns.
• Oversee cash-flow planning, liquidity and banking relationships, treasury activities.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reconciliations; drive improvements.
