Allied World in Ireland seeks a qualified accountant to provide comprehensive financial and accounting support for AWAC Services Company (Ireland) Limited and its clients. • Must be a qualified accountant with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
• Knowledge of SAP (GL) is an advantage.
• Experience with Irish/UK GAAP and US GAAP, IFRS accounting.
• Experience with legal entity financial statements and audits.
• Exposure to Solvency II / Solvency UK reporting templates.
• Experience with Irish and UK corporation tax and VAT.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet tight monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive team player with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and accounting support to AWAC Services Company (Ireland) Limited and clients.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit processes.
• Support regulatory reporting including Solvency II and Solvency UK templates.
• Assist Irish/UK corporation tax and VAT filings and related compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of reporting deadlines.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility will be to provide financial and accounting support to AWAC Services Company (Ireland) Limited and clients of the Company.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience, ideally in an insurance environment.
• Knowledge of front-end system. SAP (general ledger system) is an advantage.
• Experience with Irish/UK GAAP and US GAAP accounting and familiarity with IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with the preparation of legal entity financial statements and financial statements audit process.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting including Solvency II and Solvency UK or equivalent and experience with the preparation of EIOPA and Solvency UK quantitative reporting templates.
• Experience with Irish and UK corporation tax and VAT.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a high growth, fast-paced, change environment.
• Ability to meet tight monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines with flexibility to adapt and grow as responsibilities increase.
• Computer literacy and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to liaise with stakeholders across all levels within the organisation.
• Proactive team player, with the ability to work independently. Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
