Job summary

Lam Research in Ireland is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair and maintain our semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites. You will work on-site in Kildare and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and minimal downtime.

We value hands-on problem solving, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate issues to component level to minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date on Lam equipment through training and certification.
• Assist in field modifications and coordinate records between Lam and customers.
• Represent Lam professionally to customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Develop customer response action plans to support needs.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to build trust.
• Mentor junior engineers with technical instruction.
