Job summary

Dublin City Council is seeking a Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial, cost-management and procurement across multiple capital projects in Dublin. The role manages in-house teams and external consultants, acting as a key commercial advisor to senior management.

The position involves cost planning, tender preparation with relevant software, and contract administration from inception to final account within the CWMF framework.

Qualifications

• Experience managing internal quantity surveying teams and external consultants.
• Sound knowledge of public works contracts and the CWMF.
• Ability to lead cost-management and procurement functions across capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs Quantity Surveying staff and consultant teams across multiple projects.
• Sets performance targets, timelines, and expectations for timely delivery.
• Manages staff, performance, and internal operations.
• Acts for the Assistant Chief Quantity Surveyor as required.
• Delivers full quantity surveying service including cost planning and tender procedures.
