Job summary

Dublin City Council is seeking a Senior Executive Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and cost-management functions across its capital projects in Dublin. You will manage in-house teams and external consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with Public Works Contracts and the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF).

The role requires seven years of relevant experience, a professional Quantity Surveying qualification, and registration eligibility.

Qualifications

Hold a professional Quantity Surveying qualification prescribed under the Building Control Act 2007 or equivalent.
Eligible for registration as a Quantity Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007 without further assessment.
At least seven years of satisfactory relevant experience in quantity surveying.
High standard of technical training and administrative/management experience.
Satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation or ability to acquire it.

Responsibilities

Directs and manages Quantity Surveying staff and consultant teams across projects.
Establishes performance targets and ensures timely project delivery.
Motivates teams and maintains strong working relationships.
Acts as Deputy for the Assistant Chief Quantity Surveyor as directed.
Provide full Quantity Surveying services from inception to final completion on allocated projects.
