Job summary

Mayo County Council is seeking a Senior Executive Architect in Mayo to lead design and delivery of major schemes across Housing Delivery, Regeneration, Public Realm and Urban Renewal. The role includes line management of architects and technologists and collaboration with internal departments and government bodies.

Ideal candidates will have architectural qualifications, strong leadership, and extensive experience in design, project management and BIM environments including AutoCAD and REVIT,

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold an architectural qualification and demonstrate leadership in delivering public sector projects.
• Strong design and urban design capability with experience in housing, regeneration and planning projects.
• Proven management of multi-disciplinary teams and budgets within a public authority.

Responsibilities

• Line manages a team of Executive Architects and Technologists across Mayo and districts.
• Lead design across Housing Delivery, Regeneration, Public Realm and Urban Renewal.
• Coordinate with Housing Dept., Municipal Districts and government bodies.
• Oversee budgets, scheduling, risk management and project delivery from inception to completion.
