The successful candidate will join the Architects Section within the Council with responsibility for designing and managing construction projects and other ancillary works required for the successful development of the County, in the areas of, but not limited to Housing, Regeneration, Public Realm, Urban Renewal, Planning projects.

The design management and the delivery of housing schemes, community facilities and other capital works, from procurement to Final Account.
Representing the County Council at a variety of meetings including public and community meetings and press & public relations engagements.
Working effectively with the Elected Members and Council staff towards the successful and speedy implementation of designated projects.
Preparing reports for the Council, committees of the Council, Central Government and other stakeholders.

An opportunity now exists in Mayo Council for the position of Senior Executive Architect.
Salary Scale effective from 1st June 2026:
Hours of attendance will be fixed from time to time but will amount to not less than 35 hours gross per week.
The annual leave allowance for the position of Senior Executive Architect is 30 days.
