Job summary

Apto, based in Dublin, seeks an experienced Estimator to lead the estimating function for data centre projects across Europe. You will own the development and validation of construction cost estimates from due diligence through to IFC design, and manage cost databases and inflation data.

The role demands 10+ years in estimating, a relevant degree, and a proven track record on hyperscale data centre projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree as specified (construction management, QS or equivalent)
10+ years estimating experience
Experience on large data centre projects across Europe preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the estimating function for data centre projects across Europe.
Develop and validate construction cost estimates from Stage 0 DD through to IFC design.
Maintain accurate cost databases, historical data, geo-parity metrics and inflation data.
Lead value engineering initiatives with design/engineering teams to identify cost-saving options.
Develop and present customer fit-out cost plans, pricing proposals, and commercial options.
Collaborate with Design & Construction, Finance and Strategy & Acquisition to support business plans and land acquisitions.
Present project funding requests to the Apto leadership team.
Review methodologies, estimates, forecasts and external partner outputs.
Evaluate tenders for pricing competitiveness and alignment with scope and budget.
Lead selection and rollout of enterprise estimating software.
Establish QA procedures for Estimating Department documents.
