Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Consultant - Environmental Compliance & Permitting to join our Ireland-based team with offices in Dublin, Cork and Belfast. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model and a path to lead complex licensing and regulatory projects across pharma, manufacturing, technology and energy sectors.

You’ll guide audits, regulatory submissions, and environmental reports while mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating with specialists across our global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Experience in industrial or consultancy environments delivering licensing and compliance services.
• Extensive knowledge of Irish and European environmental legislation.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental compliance and permitting projects across Ireland.
• Undertake audits, gap assessments, site inspections and legislative reviews.
• Identify risks and develop corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Prepare Industrial Emissions Licence applications and other regulatory submissions.
• Manage projects scope, programme, budget, quality and client communication.
• Liaise with clients, the EPA and other authorities.
• Collaborate with environmental, engineering, sustainability and planning teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Support proposals and business development.
