Job summary

Office of Public Works seeks a Senior Engineering Draughtsperson (Civil & Structural) to join the Civil and Structural Engineering Section. You will provide technical support to OPW Project Engineers and supervise draughtspersons as required.

The role operates from OPW's Dublin City office and Trim HQ, reporting to a Principal Engineering Draughtsperson or a designated Engineer Grade I or II. Closing date 3 September 2026.

Senior Engineering Draughtsperson (Civil & Structural) in the Office of Public Works

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is a key service provider to the Government with responsibility for the management and maintenance of the State's property portfolio, and the provision of accommodation to central Government departments. An Garda Siochana and other State agencies. It is also the lead agency for flood risk management in Ireland.

The OPW currently has a vacancy for a Senior Engineering Draughtsperson in its Civil and Structural Engineering Section. The section provides a full Civil & Structural and Engineering Design service as requested by OPW and/or other Government departments and operates from OPW's headquarters in Trim, Co. Meath and its Dublin City office.

Reporting to a principal engineering draughtsperson or a designated Engineer Grade I or II, Senior Engineering Draughtspersons will have responsibility for providing technical support to OPW Project Engineers or Civil & Structural Engineering projects and will supervise Engineering Draughtspersons where required.
