Job summary

Careeriser-Limited seeks a Senior Site Engineer in Wexford to take overall responsibility for health, safety and quality on a live project. You will lead design reviews, manage technical queries and coordinate resolution of design and construction issues on a main contractor site.

The role requires a HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification with at least 5 years of similar experience in Ireland, including setting out and managing engineers.

Qualifications

• HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Ireland in a similar role.
• Experience with setting out and managing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for health and safety, quality and compliance across the project.
• Lead design reviews, manage technical queries and coordinate the resolution of design and construction issues.
• Oversee subcontractors and specialist service providers, ensuring delivery meets programme, quality and commissioning requirements.
• Track project progress, provide weekly performance updates and implement proactive measures to minimise delays.
• Undertake regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and ensure the prompt resolution and close-out of issues.
• Manage quality assurance processes, document control and compliance with building control and statutory requirements.
• Oversee key work packages, coordinating sequencing, trades and procurement requirements to support efficient project delivery.
• Maintain effective communication with utility providers, local authorities, statutory bodies and key external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve construction efficiency through design development, technical challenge and value engineering.
• Lead, support and develop site engineering teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance and customer-focused working environment.
