Job summary

Shareridge, one of Ireland’s fastest-growing civil engineering companies, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team working on our utilities and public realm construction projects in Limerick.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and manage day-to-day engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

Carry out and oversee accurate site setting-out using Total Station, GPS and other relevant equipment.

Manage site teams and subcontractors, coordinating work activities and ensuring quality standards are achieved.

Review, interpret and work from drawings, specifications and technical information.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, designers and project teams to resolve technical queries and support effective delivery.

Attend site meetings and provide clear updates on progress, issues, risks and required actions.

Prepare and maintain accurate site paperwork, records, reports and progress documentation.

Monitor compliance with company quality, environmental and Health & Safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a site engineering role, ideally within utilities, civil engineering or public realm projects.

A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Strong setting-out experience using GPS, Total Station and associated site equipment.

Proven ability to manage site operations, subcontractors and competing priorities in a busy project environment.

Confident communicator with experience dealing with clients, stakeholders, designers and wider project teams.

Strong paperwork, reporting and record-keeping skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project and general IT tools.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
