Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Engineer for a large residential project in South County Dublin. The role involves design coordination, managing 4–5 subcontractors and a team of junior engineers on site.

Candidate should have 6+ years’ experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety, quality and programme delivery. A full driving license is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in construction or civil engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated to deliver on safety, quality and programme.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Design coordination and management of 4–5 sub-contractors on site.
• Lead a team of junior engineers.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts and materials.
• Manage subcontractors and on-site workforce.
• Plan works to meet programme targets.
• Liaise with client representatives and design team.
• Ensure works meet health, safety and quality standards.
• Order and control materials on site.
• Maintain site records (diary, cube register, deliveries).

Senior Engineer with 7+ years’ experience required to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor to work on a large-Residential Project in South County Dublin. The successful Senior Engineer strong resi experience and will be managing up to 5 subcontractors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer who wants to progress into full project management as it is essentially a package management role.

Role

• Role involves design co-ordination and managing 4 to 5 sub-contractors.
• Manging a team of more junior engineers
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Management of subcontractors/general workforce on site
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaise with client’s representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Maintaining the site records – site diary, concrete cube register, records of deliveries etc.
