Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance on Cummins equipment. The role focuses on reliability, preventative maintenance, and timely documentation of service work to support warranties and service records.

The successful candidate will have apprentice-trained engine tech with mechanical/electrical experience, a valid driving permit, and flexibility for on-site work and a 24/7 call-out rota. HGV/Bus license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician with a vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
• Mechanical/electrical experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• HGV/Bus license would be preferred but not essential.
• City & Guilds or equivalent in HGV, Plant & Machinery, or Mechanical Engineering preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance on Cummins equipment.
• Keep equipment running reliably and efficiently.
• Escalate complex issues to product specialists or supervisors when needed.
• Complete documentation accurately for warranty and service records.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of service tools and vehicle.
