Job summary

CoolPlanet seeks a Senior Energy Engineer to lead data-led engineering analyses and design high-impact energy-optimisation solutions across global client projects. The role combines deep engineering expertise, data analysis and delivery leadership with high autonomy.

You will manage FEED activities, work across steam, refrigeration, compressed air and electrification projects, and use the CPOS platform to translate performance data into measurable energy and carbon reductions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Process, Energy Systems or related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering complex engineering solutions in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical expertise across energy systems (steam, cooling, compressed air, thermal).
• Advanced analytical capability with large datasets and digital tools.
• Ability to combine hands-on engineering with coordination and delivery leadership.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable with high autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex energy assessments, studies and solution development across industrial sites.
• Analyse large datasets to generate actionable engineering insights.
• Define and review energy-saving calculations, models and technical reports.
• Lead FEED activities and oversee detailed design (EDD).
• Act as senior technical interface with clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Plan, prioritise and coordinate engineering activities within projects.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and ensure output quality.
