Job summary

CoolPlanet, a fast-growing global leader in industrial decarbonisation, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex utilities and energy optimisation projects across Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford. You will drive delivery from concept through commissioning, interacting with industrial clients, subcontractors and internal teams on site.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years delivering industrial engineering or CAPEX projects.
• Strong client-facing project leadership experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from scope through installation and completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, internal engineers and site teams.
• Manage budgets, project schedules and client communication.
• Oversee installation planning, commissioning and site execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Drive problem resolution across technical and operational workstreams.
• Monitor project costs, forecast spend and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain high customer service standards and strong client relationships.
• Support continuous improvement across project delivery systems and standards.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of complex industrial utilities and process optimisation projects, including steam, compressed air, pumping, heat recovery, motors, VSDs and process control systems.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you will manage projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning and handover, working directly with industrial customers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys hands‑on site delivery, technical problem-solving, project leadership and driving measurable energy savings in industrial environments.
