Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and sustain medical device software across the lifecycle. You will collaborate with software, hardware, systems, test and quality teams globally to deliver robust embedded solutions.

Responsibilities include C/C++ for microcontrollers, bare-metal and RTOS (STM32/ThreadX), driver development for UART/SPI/I2C/USB, and contributing to architecture, reviews, and risk management in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or related field; 4+ years experience or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Hands-on embedded C/C++ development experience.
• Experience with bare-metal and RTOS environments.
• Experience integrating hardware and drivers (UART, SPI, I2C, USB).
• Experience with static analysis, code reviews, and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for medical products.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, test, and quality teams across countries.
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and risk analysis.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
