Role Description

This full-time Senior Electronic Security System Installer role is based in Athy and we cover all of Leinster and surrounding areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and related hardware and software. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, planning cable routes, testing system performance, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring installations comply with relevant standards and client requirements. The installer will coordinate with project managers, clients, and other team members, provide clear documentation of work completed, and support commissioning and handover of systems. The position also includes mentoring junior technicians, contributing to continuous improvement of installation practices.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in electronic security systems installation, including HKC Intruder Alarms, Hikvision CCTV, access control, and automatic barrier systems

.

• Competence in reading schematics and technical drawings, planning installations, and performing system testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with networked security solutions, basic IP networking, and integration of hardware and software components.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures, work safely at heights or in confined spaces, and use hand and power tools appropriately.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, including government and council representatives.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple installations and service calls.
• Previous experience in a senior or lead installer role in the electronic security or related electrical/technical field.
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Full, valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites across Ireland.
• ability to pass any required background or security clearance checks.
