Job summary

Netwatch is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer (CCTV & Security Technician) for nationwide service across Ireland. You will install, service and program CCTV, access control and related systems, while delivering excellent customer support and on-site training.

The role requires 3+ years in CCTV or related fields, a full driving license, Safe Pass, and willingness to undergo background checks.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in CCTV or related role is required.
  • Full Drivers’ License and Safe Pass card required.
  • Experience with CCTV (Analogue & IP) and Access Control is desirable.
  • ElectricalEngineering certification is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience with wireless networks and fibre optics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, service and repair CCTV and security systems.
  • Demonstrate system functions to customers via on-site training and demonstrations.
  • Install networked devices and programming for security systems.
  • Prepare and submit engineer work reports and handover certificates.
  • Collaborate with Sales to align customer needs with service delivery.
  • Adhere to H&S guidelines and Netwatch policies.
  • Resolve technical issues in collaboration with Operations.
  • Provide timely follow-up on customer queries and issues.

Job Title:Technical Operations Engineer (CCTV & Security Technician)

Department:Technical Operations Ireland

Location:Ireland (Nationwide)

As Netwatch continues to expand its business and customer base in Ireland, we are currently seeking experienced Technical Operations Engineers (CCTV Technicians) to service and support our new and existing customers nationwide.

The successful candidate will provide an exceptional customer service experience whilst completing routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of CCTV security systems, access control, intruder and fire systems. This role will report, update and document changes or deficiencies with newly installed or existing security systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, programming, servicing and repair of security systems and associated equipment.
  • Conduct customer training sessions and system demonstrations to effectively illustrate the functionality and operation of the systems, to include download and demonstrate use and features of phone and web apps on customer devices, for viewing and site management software.
  • Install and service all equipment and software associated with the security systems as required, to include Programming Transmission Units, Video Analysis, Communications and Pathways, Commissioning Units and Walk Testing.
  • Installation of network connected devices and their programming.
  • Collaborate with our internal operations teams to deliver superior customer service and technical support, ensuring utmost customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all customer queries are followed up accurately and provide technical knowledge and support where possible.
  • Collaborate as appropriate with the relevant Sales Account Manager to ensure a strong focus on the customer and that their needs are effectively met.
  • Correctly complete engineer work reports, handover certificates or checklist as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Operations to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other challenges that may arise, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety (H&S) guidelines and policies-both site-specific and those set by Netwatch-ensuring personal safety and the safety of others.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a CCTV role or similar discipline.
  • Full Drivers’ License and Safe Pass card holder.
  • Demonstrable experience of servicing, fault finding and repairing electronic systems preferably Security/Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV systems (Analogue & IP) and Access Control Systems - desirable.
  • Certification in Electrical Engineering beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience in wireless networks, fibre optics and associated fault finding an advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Security Market specialising in proactive video monitoring.
