Job summary

Jones Engineering seeks an Electrical Quantity Surveyor in Cork for the Transmission & Distribution / Renewables division. You will support commercial delivery, manage subcontractor accounts, and monitor project performance within a dynamic engineering team.

Applicants should have a third level qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics, with 8+ years post-qualification experience and an Electrical background as an asset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Renewables/TD experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong IT and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract obligations and monitor performance.
• Identify commercial risks and report to management.
• Prepare monthly progress applications with remeasurements and variations.
• Support procurement and subcontractor accounts during the project.
• Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects.
• Provide reliable commercial reporting and trend analysis.
• Mentor the commercial team on site.
