TSL in Ireland seeks a Senior Electrical Pre-Construction Engineer to lead electrical pre-construction on complex data-centre projects. Based in Kildare, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and manage a dedicated pre-construction team.

You will travel internationally, validate technical solutions, review drawings, and support tender submissions, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule certainty.

Formación

• Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Significant electrical engineering experience in construction/MEP/pre-construction.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs.
• Data center project experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

The opportunity

TSL is seeking a Senior Electrical Pre-Construction Engineer to lead electrical pre-construction activity across complex, fast-paced projects, with a strong focus on data centers. Based in Kildare, this role offers substantial travel, typically one to two international project visits per month, alongside opportunities to support work across Ireland.

Drawing on TSL’s Organization Context, this role supports the delivery of high-performance turnkey facilities for global clients while maintaining the company’s priorities of safety, quality, schedule certainty, sustainability, and technical excellence.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coordinate electrical pre-construction activities across multiple live tenders and project opportunities.
• Manage and support a pre-construction team, providing technical direction, prioritization, and quality oversight.
• Support electrical design development, design management, technical reviews, and coordination with internal and external design partners.
• Work closely with pre-construction, commercial, procurement, delivery, and supply-chain teams to develop robust project solutions.
• Lead or contribute to PCSA activity, including project delivery strategy, design coordination, procurement planning, programmer inputs, and risk management.
• Engage with vendors, specialist contractors, consultants, and clients to validate technical solutions and support tender submissions.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing deadlines while maintaining a high standard of technical accuracy.
• Review drawings, specifications, models, and technical submittals to identify opportunities, constraints, coordination risks, and value-engineering options.
• Support the localization of designs to meet regional requirements and project-specific standards.
• Travel across Ireland and internationally to support project teams, design coordination, vendor engagement, and client requirements.

What you’ll bring

• qualifications or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Significant electrical engineering experience within construction, MEP, pre-construction, design management, or technical delivery.
• Strong experience managing electrical design development and coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs.
• Data center project experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, tenders, stakeholders, and technical priorities at the same time.
• Experience working with PCSAs, live tenders, vendor engagement, procurement planning, or design-assist processes.
• A sound understanding of electrical systems, technical specifications, construction sequencing, and project delivery requirements.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam. Full fluency is not required, but confidence in reviewing and coordinating technical information is essential.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and build productive relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and delivery partners.
• A current passport and willingness to travel internationally, including regular project-based travel.
