Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician in Dublin to support safe, efficient operation of production equipment. You will perform planned and reactive electrical work across packaging lines and respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

The role focuses on fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance programmes and collaboration with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with QQI Level 6 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with automated production equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across production equipment.
• Support mechanical and instrumentation fault-finding when required.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain reliability.

Our client is a long-established and highly respected food and beverage manufacturer in Dublin, who are in ongoing investment/site development stage. This is a permanent role within the Engineering and Maintenance team.

The Role

As Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the safe, efficient and reliable operation of production equipment across the site.

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across production and packaging equipment.
• Support mechanical and instrumentation fault-finding where required.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes and maintenance scheduling.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Assist with continuous improvement, equipment upgrades and factory projects.
• Carry out root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records.
• Support site safety, GMP and audit requirements.

The Person

• Qualified Electrician with an Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical (QQI Level 6), National Craft Certificate, or recognised equivalent electrical trade qualification.
• Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving capability.
• Experience working with automated production equipment.
• Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, variable speed drives, sensors or control systems would be advantageous.
• Food, beverage, FMCG or other high-volume manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy engineering and production team.
