Job summary
Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Cork with 6–8 years’ experience to lead electrical building services projects from concept to handover. You will design power, lighting, life safety and ICT/ELV systems, perform load calculations, model selections and produce tender-ready drawings.
The role offers hybrid working across Cork/Limerick/Galway, with opportunities for mentoring, career progression and chartership support.
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical or building services engineering (Level 8/9).
- 6–8 years’ post-graduate experience in electrical building services design.
- Chartered Engineer status or pursuing chartership is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through construction and handover.
- Design and specify electrical services systems including power distribution, lighting, life safety, ICT/ELV and energy efficient tech.
- Carry out electrical load calculations, system modelling and equipment selection.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications and tender packages.
