Job summary

PE Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager for a major data centre project in Dublin. This permanent, on-site role involves leading electrical construction delivery, coordinating with engineering, design and commissioning teams, and managing subcontractors and safety on site.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services, 7+ years in electrical construction, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years' experience within electrical construction, ideally progressing into site management.
• Strong experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
• Excellent understanding of electrical installation, construction sequencing and commissioning.
• Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or other mission-critical project experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead day-to-day electrical site operations and coordinate with the wider project team.
• Manage electrical subcontractors, including progress, manpower, productivity and programme.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and maintained in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate construction activities with Project Managers, Planners, Engineering, Design and Commissioning teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and construction information.
• Identify and resolve technical, design and coordination issues before they impact programme.
• Attend and lead site, engineering, planning, coordination and handover meetings.
• Ensure subcontractor safety and project documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Drive a strong health and safety culture across electrical construction activities.
• Monitor project progress against programme and report to senior management.
• Support the commercial team with variations, cost tracking and subcontractor matters.
• Manage electrical snagging, close-out and handover activities.
• Ensure electrical installations are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
