Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior EHS Officer for a major construction project in Meath. The role supports the EHS Manager, ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and IMS standards.

You will work with the project team on RAMS, site inspections, and training delivery. A degree in OH&S or related field and 5+ years of construction EHS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in an EHS role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling.

Responsibilities

• Support the EHS Manager in achieving company objectives and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Work with the project team to implement and maintain the IMS.
• Act as SME in high-risk activities, ensuring risks are identified & controlled.
• Prepare and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits for compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to site management on EHS matters.
• Deliver toolbox talks and support training initiatives.

Senior EHS Officer A well-established leading Main Contractor in the Meath is seeking a Senior EHS Officer with over 5 years experience to join their team on large-scale commercial construction project which is just starting.

Role & Responsibilities

• Senior EHS Officer will support the EHS Manager in achieving company objectives and ensuring full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
• Work closely with the project team to implement and maintain the IMS.
• Act as subject matter expert in high-risk activities, ensuring risks are identified & controlled.
• Assist in the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to site management teams on EHS matters.
• Deliver toolbox talks and support ongoing training initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
