Job summary

Chanelle Pharma is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to drive its Environmental, Health and Safety program at the Loughrea facility. Reporting to the General Manager, you will apply deep expertise to support compliance and continuous improvement across the business.

Responsibilities include leading EHS implementation, managing audits, maintaining ISO 14001, risk management, health services, emergency planning, site visits, KPI reporting, training, DGSA, contractor safety, and sustainability

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • 4-5 years in Pharma/GMP.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of EH&S regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the EHS programme ensuring alignment with Chanelle Pharma's Winning Formula strategy and continuous improvement agenda.
  • Perform EH&S compliance audits and manage EHS plans across all sites.
  • Maintain the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in alignment with the standard and monitor environmental impacts.
  • Oversee risk management, identify hazards, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safety compliance.
  • Lead and develop the EHS team to support ongoing growth.
  • Manage on-site Occupational Health services and health surveillance programs to promote wellbeing.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and regular testing to ensure readiness.
  • Represent Chanelle group at audits/site visits by HSA, insurers, and customers.
  • Report EHS KPIs to Board and Senior Management.
  • Oversee incident reporting, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
  • Deliver projects and maintain EH&S procedures and compliance.
